I’m not an expert, but I’ve found Our World In Data to be a good source. If you Google “Covid-19 data” the charts you get in the results come from Johns Hopkins University. But of course, the data will only be as good as what they’re given by the various authorities that they collect from.

Personally, nowadays I only occasionally look at stats, and for that I go to my local health authority (NSW Health, Australia)
